Last week, Vanguard Protection patrol officers assigned to the Canyon Country patrol area received a call for service at a client property located on Soledad Canyon Rd. Reporting parties stated that they had caught a person looking through their windows and had detained him while awaiting assistance. While en-route to the call, Vanguard Protection officers were updated that the man was being beaten by one or more people from the group.

Upon arriving to the call location, officers discovered a large mob of people surrounding a single male victim who was bleeding in the middle of the street. After alerting the Los Angeles Country Sheriff’s Department, Vanguard Protection officers were able to push the crowd back and render assistance to the victim, who had sustained significant injuries to his head and face.

After turning the victim over to Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics for medical treatment, Vanguard Protection Officers assisted the investigating Sheriff’s deputies in controlling bystanders and collecting statements from witnesses.
